History of the Company The company was originally established as Flemming GmbH (Irish Branch) in 1982. During the following four years the company expanded rapidly and in 1983 Research and Development facilities for the development of immunological products were set up. The company began with the development of Virology test kits early in 1987 and in October 1989 Olympus Optical (Europa) GmbH, Hamburg, acquired an 85% shareholding of the Human Group, including the Irish Operation. With this acquisition the Olympus range of automatic diagnostic equipment was complemented by the reagents produced in Ireland. |
