Job Description:
Basic Purpose:
The test engineer will be responsible for providing total test engineering support for the manufacturing operation including existing product support and new product introductions. In addition, the successful candidate will develop and implement robust test solutions using recognised Design for Test methodologies with appropriate use of current and emerging test technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing test solutions using NI Labwindows CVI and NI TestStand for existing and new products.
- Developing the electronic hardware for functional testing.
- Maximizing and understanding Test Coverage.
Test Automation. - Providing technical support to production.
- Being part of cross functional teams ensuring design for test NPIs.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
ExperienceGeneral:
- Thorough understanding of analog and digital electronics, coupled with a good understanding of various test techniques.
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally in a mid-sized electronics manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of in-circuit test and functional test software and hardware development.
- Experience of working closely with design/development groups.
Specific Requirements:
- Experience with developing programming solutions with some or all of the following languages: Lab Windows CVI, C, Visual Basic.
- Experience with developing product functional test hardware solutions using GPIB controlled DAC hardware; development of In-Circuit-Test hardware solutions using Teradyne & TRI Platforms
Experience in supporting on-going factory operations.
