Job Description:
The role is to support the strategic liquid development plan, which includes Innovation, Technical Research, Product Commercialisation, Process Support, New Ingredient and Supplier Validation.
The role will report to the Process Development Manager and the incumbent will be responsible for the management of technical projects and the management and operation of the Pilot Plant.
Roles / Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role includes the following -
Management and operation of the Pilot Plant.
Management of technical projects
Support the company¿s innovation agenda
Management of the casein qualification process
Identification and testing of alternative ingredients
Qualification of new suppliers
Managing the development of new products and ingredients to commercial production.
Development and maintenance of product and ingredient specifications
Provide support as required, to the procurement, quality and liquid processing teams
Cross-functional working with suppliers and other areas
Skills / Experience:
A 3rd level Degree in Dairy Science is essential.
Proven Project Management capability is essential.
Desirable
Higher qualification in Dairy or food science
Experience in Dairy or Food industries in a research, quality or production role
Proven communication skills, in both technical and non-technical arenas.
Excellent problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Product development experience

Vision and drive to raise Pilot Plant to best in class for safety, hygiene, facilities and equipment.
Manage and operate pilot plant that is also used by peers.
Project Management, including the ability to manage upwards and across geographies, and provide leadership and coaching for peers across different functions

Have the ability to be a self starter and offer new innovative solutions to technical problems
