R&D Analyst

Working within the R&D Group, the successful candidates will have responsibilityfor the following:

  • Provide analytical support to the R&D team on time and in full to meet the objectives of the department
  • Perform inhalation testing to support stability, characterisation, product development etc. using existing and innovative technologies and automated equipment
  • Reporting / Reviewing test details and results using worksheets, laboratory notebooks and / or spreadsheets as required.
  • Validation of analytical & test methods for raw materials and respiratory finished products.
  • Compilation and reviewing of technical protocols and reports
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standards conforming to company, cGMP, GLP, SOP, specifications, validation, regulatory affairs, H&S and environmental requirements
  • Contribute to and support the R&D team in delivery a high standard of service to both internal and external customers
  • To provide guidance, support and training in areas of expertise and knowledge to other analysts to ensure they are equipped to carry out tasks assigned to them
  • Liaise with other R&D groups globally with support updates and problem solving information
  • To transfer methods from other R&D sites within the company
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements as part of a team within or outside department in order to eliminate non value added activities and ensure continuous improvement

  • 3rd Level degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science related discipline

  • Minimum of 1 years experience desirable
  • Experience in operating and calibrating analytical equipment necessary
  • Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, Regulatory Bodies and Customer Requirements
  • Company procedures, policies and standards
  • Experience in HPLC analysis including troubleshooting
  • An knowledge of Empower CDS Software
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to take responsibility and work on ones own initiative
