Job Description:
PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Brunel Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a leading Medical Device & Pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in Tipperary.
The successful candidate will be required to achieve high levels of engagement within a team & co-ordinate the activities of the team to meet production goals, quality & costing objectives while setting & prioritising team production schedules.
This person will be responsible for a team of between 35-50 operators within a highly regulated 1st class facility.
Duties:
- Implements a staffing plan in conjunction with HR team.
- Develops direct reports by securing training, assigning tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate & conducting reviews.
- Monitors daily work ops & provides direction to predominantly non-exempt & entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.
- Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests & explaining procedures.
- Interprets & executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned dept.
- Monitors compliance with co. policies & procedures (e.g compliance with FDA regulations etc.)
- Develops work schedules for dept by assessing priorities, workload & available resources.
- Maintains personnel records & makes or directs modification in the database to reflect actual changes.
Requirements:
- Degree essential & have 8+ years experience within a similar role to include a demonstrated track record in the supervision & motivation of staff.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment ideally within a regulated environment.
- Experience in working within a Lean environment beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, motivational & communication skills.
- Be a motivated self-starter.
