Job Description:
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE
Our client, a leading device manufacturing facility based in Tipperary South, currently require a qualified experienced Occupational Health Nurse.
We are looking for a motivated & enthusiastic individual. Reporting to the Human Resources Representative and working as a member of the HR team, you will have full control for running a professional occupational medical centre.
Primary responsibilities will include:
o Administering health management programs such as workers compensation, long-term disability and wellness programmes.
o Provides nursing services to employees who become ill or suffer an accident. Maintains record of persons treated; prepares accident reports; provides health education information; dispenses standard drugs and medicines.
o Carrying out regular health monitoring for all staff and implementing initiatives to improve overall health, well-being, and, education of all employees in health related matters.
o May work with Toxicology/Hygiene to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers.
o Being a member of the site Safety Leadership team responsible for leading improvements in safety results on site. You will take ownership for certain safety systems and be responsible for their implementation.
o Absence monitoring
o Report writing
o Regular liaison with offsite G.P.
o Conduct regular workshops, promotions, talks to promote health
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience gained within industry
- Must be qualified Nurse with experience and/or qualification in Health & Safety preferred
