Job Description:
Our Client a highly reputable Pharmaceuticals Plant in Dublin has an immediate opportunity for a Process Industrialisation Chemist to join their progressive organisation.
The Process Chemist will report directly into the Process Industrialisation Manager and will work as part of a team of Chemists and Engineers responsible for the industrial development and technology transfer of new chemical entities from development to commercial manufacturing, and in the technical support and optimization of existing manufacturing activities.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge from engineering and chemistry to support industrialisation of new chemical entities;
- Contribute to the efficient and effective technology transfer of new chemical entities;
- Assess process capabilities and robustness with a view to continuous improvement of yield, quality, cycle time and operability;
- Provide technical support to existing manufacturing activities;
- Ensure compliance within EHS, Quality, and Regulatory standards.
Education / Professional Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry or Biological Sciences, with relevant experience in the manufacture of chemical APIs. Management experience with strong problem solving skills, experience with Lean Six Sigma, the ability to innovate and meet project objectives, and the ability to influence management and collaborate with others are essential to this position.
