Job Description:
A leading Energy Provider has an immediate opportunity for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to join their organisation on a permanent / full-time basis.
As Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that high voltage stations are functionally operational and fit to be connected to the electricity network.
This is a busy and varied role which will involve working on projects nationally. Your role will encompass but not be limited to assessing site safety before starting commissioning works, primary and secondary commissioning of transmission & distribution substations, project planning and function verification of protection design schemes.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified (Electrical) with a minimum of 3-4 years experience within the Power Industry. Demonstrable experience of operating procedures of substations and a strong working knowledge of safety rules & regulations are essential.
