Master Planner Scheduler

Job Description:

Our Client, a leading Irish Service Organisation is currently looking for a senior Master Planner to join their organisation. Reporting to the Workflow Progression Manager, the Master Planner will be responsible for owning, managing and delivering on the end to end scheduling and dispatch process, leading the scheduling and dispatch teams and ensuring that all scheduling and dispatch activities optimize efficiency in delivering service. The Master Planner will be knowledgeable on how the scheduling and dispatch process operates in the Click system and how the Maximo systems interfaces with Click for scheduling & dispatch processes.

Responsibilities

Ownership for the end to end work plan and scheduling and dispatch process.

Defining a schedule that optimises efficiency in delivering service and ensures that work is effectively transmitted to the Field.

Managing the team of schedulers and dispatchers to ensure the most effective dispatch of all types of work into the field.

Maintaining a focus on emergency dispatch and ensuring emergency work is prioritized.

Reviewing and approving changes to agreed schedules in a timely manner through consultation with the process owners.

Managing the Scheduling and Dispatch Teams and dealing with escalations from the team.

Liaising with other departmental areas to understand any conflicting work requiring scheduled resources.

Driving performance management and continuous improvement within the Scheduling and Dispatch Teams.

Reporting on the overall performance of the Scheduling and Dispatch Teams.

Understanding the business strategy and performance focus for scheduling work.

Ensuring optimal operation and utilization of the Click Scheduling System.

Developing a phased approach to achieving fully automated scheduling across the business.

Working closely with the Workflow Progression manager to understand the business goals to achieving efficiencies in work scheduling.

Raising risks and issues as appropriate to the Workflow Progression Manager.
