Job Description:
The Role
- To maximise the effectiveness of the machinery and equipment through engineering systems and activities
- Manage and ensure the Engineering Department contributes effectively to the company business objectives.
- Take responsibility for the Planning, Management and Implementation of Process Development and Improvement activities and specific project activities
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a planned maintenance programme that will meet the business needs and ensure full utilisation of all available resources
- Provide leadership, management and development to those reporting. Coach and motivate team to achieve business objectives;
- To develop, implement and manage Engineering and maintenance K.P.Is (Key Performance Indicators).
- Responsible for the Leadership, development, and review of all site Engineers through Team Leaders.
- Set best Practices and standards of work and deliver appropriate training and information on process issues to production personnel where requisite;
- To work on continuous improvement projects with other support functions in the business so to maximise the assets and continuous improve on the business results.
- Plan and implement projects focused on increasing line and people efficiencies
- Interface closely with Product Development and NPI delivering product and process support and direction in concept design of new products and packaging;
- Support the packing and production departments in all process improvement activities including new equipment and process design and project management of same;
- Drive projects with cross-functional support targeting improved process performance, improved product functionality, reducing variances and costs;
Experience:
- Engineering or Electrical related Graduate.
- Management qualification
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
