Commerical Director based in Dublin Ireland

Reporting to the Head of function, the person appointed will be a member of the senior management team He/she responsible for implementing a strategic and business plan



Job Description:

The person will deliver on ambitious income targets while also maintaining the infrastructure, staffing and caseload necessary, specialists in training, and for continuing education to practitioners In addition, the post holder will work with to ensure the potential of fundraising and development of the group is maintained Job Description To lead the commercial development, client relations and business planning, including laboratory services. To build a market-driven enterprise, which commercialises the business. To implement best practice organization and management of clinical services including basic controls and processes To develop a communication & marketing plan, which raises the profile of the business and its services, using, as appropriate, print, broadcast, electronic media, networking events, seminars, roadshows and open days.

Roles / Responsibilities:

To identify and capitalise on income generation and business opportunities which are compatible with the primary mission of the business, and to lead on these initiatives.To lead negotiations and conclude beneficial agreements for service areas as appropriate with referring customers, commercial companies or agencies, with a view to increasing revenue. Roles/Responsibilities Working alongside the Head of the business, to have responsibility for preparing and delivering business plans & budgets, highlighting risks and opportunities. To develop reporting systems for measuring performance against targets; data analysis; costing and setting charges; financial monitoring and reporting on all operational budgets; and benchmarking with other similar organisations. To develop effective risk, issue escalation and quality management strategies appropriate for the needs of the business

Skills / Experience:

 To manage business interests in the provision of an new services To bring staff along process of change outlined above Skills/Experience Experience in balancing the needs and managing the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders Excellent oral and written communication skills Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain strong working relationships at every level across the organisation Excellent diplomatic, persuasion and negotiating skills, and the ability to secure buy-in and cooperation Ability to identify, define, promote, communicate and achieve clear organisational values and goals, effective management processes, and rational and timely decision making Entrepreneurial leadership with necessary persistence and drive to bring projects to a conclusion. Ability to lead, persuade and motivate others Ability to be self-motivated, plan for contingencies and think strategically

Education / Professional Qualifications:

Ability to lead and work in a collegiate system Decision making skills through consensus when appropriate, with a capability of unilateral decision making when appropriate Education / Professional Qualifications 7 years management and leadership experience in a multidisciplinary organisation, preferably but not necessarily in the Healthcare business Wide experience of general management, including strategic planning, personnel management, marketing, organisational behaviour, business planning, information management, financial management and performance mgt Qualification in business administration or demonstrable equivalent training and experience Excellent presentation skills Understanding and experience of databases and other IT applications/packages To drive culture change, thus creating and enabling a sustainable commercial environment, which achieves inward investment and contributes to the economic development of the business
