Hard Services Facilities Manager

The position is responsible for the management of maintenance services associated with building services equipment and the internal and external building fabric.  The department provides a total facilities package to our clients covering a broad spectrum of in-house facility services



Job Description:

The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following;
Management and co-ordination of all internal and external hard services.
Management of access control systems.
Coordination of site health and safety to include internal staff, external contractors, activities, accident / incident reporting, first aid management, fire safety certificates, site safety file , permit to work system etc.
Implementation of safe work practices and an accident free work place
Ensure that all maintenance practices comply with company and legal standards
Implementation of a comprehensive calibration & preventative maintenance program according to the standards required in the manufacturing industry
Ensure that maintenance procedures, records, etc., are kept up to date to reflect plant changes
Management of engineering consumables
Provide strong technical and business leadership to the on-site team


Roles / Responsibilities:

Management of activities of all maintenance personnel on-site whether directly employed or contractors
Department budgeting.
Development and implementation of integrated services throughout the service team.
Management reporting
Adherence to site SLA¿s and KPI¿s.
Management of site L8 system.
Management of  EPA site requirements in conjunction with EHS Dept.
Ensure legal compliance of all maintenance programs.



Skills / Experience:

Excellent communication skills
Strong management / Problem solving skills
Engineering background preferable with a minimum 4-5 years relevant experience
Excellent Computer Literacy
Flexible & adaptable
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Proven experience of preventative maintenance management systems
Knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing environment
Dependable team player
Experience of co-ordination / site management
Prior management experience of maintenance personnel and external contractors
Understanding of all relevant health and safety legislation
Experience of budget management and financial analysis
Liaison with clients and service providers at all levels will be required therefore sound communication and negotiating skills are essential
Desire for further education


Education / Professional Qualifications:

You will be enthusiastic and self motivating and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a customer focused environment.
Drive and adaptability to ensure that challenging targets are met
