Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity for a top class Electronics Design Engineer to join this dynamic and long established Company. The position is technically challenging as well as providing a career path to senior management for someone with such ambition. Working in a team environment, developing innovative solutions for Fire and Gas Detection products and systems.

Roles / Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions for Fire and Gas Detection products and systems
• The engineering design work carried out involves low power radio transceivers and digital electronics and the interfacing of sensors including optical, heat, ionization and carbon monoxide for fire and toxic gas detection.
• Microcontrollers are used extensively in the company¿s high volume manufacture

Skills / Experience:

• Honours degree in Electronic Engineering, 1.1 or 2.1 preferable
• At least four years relevant experience
• Good software programming skills in assembly and C
• Familiarity with low level RF communication protocols
• Experience of high volume electronics manufacture
• PCB layout for automatic assembly
