Job Description:
Maximise the Profitability and Market Share of the Category
To manage the operational supplier, range, price and promotional activity
With direction from the category Manager- formulate and implement the Category Development Plans
Reviewing product range on a regular and ongoing basis based on best practice category management
Gather, prepare and maintain market and category analysis
Negotiation of required national promotional deals from the supplier base
Ensure supplier base meets agreed performance criteria
Ensure service level from suppliers meets 98% upwards in conjunction with Re-order Buyers
Meet all deadlines i.e. marketing projects, pricing, bonuses, BP meetings, television advertising, seasonal promotions etc.
Negotiation and maintained of price file for all business channels
Ensure that all budgeted monies are received from suppliers i.e. marketing activity, category management act.
