Controls Engineer

Roles / Responsibilities:

To specify control systems and instrumentation which will enable high efficiency manufacturing processes To ensure that there are adequate electrical and electronic spares in inventory to minimize risk of associated downtime To carry out process improvement proposals and analyze systems to resolve problems/implement corrective actions which are adversely affecting manufacturing performance Improve systems capabilities through a program of Continuous Improvement while complying with all cGMP's Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standards conforming to Company SOP's, cGMP, cGLP, Specifications, Validation, Regulatory Affairs, H&S and Environmental requirements.

 



Skills / Experience:

To ensure that all documentation associated with instrumentation, controls systems and integrity testing is compliant at all times. Site compliance regarding Controls Downtime and machine efficiencies Resolve all control system and software problems in a timely and professional manner Ensure that all documentation associated with instrumentation, control systems and software is documented and stored according to cGMP's. To implement corrective actions as appropriate to eliminate customer complaints To rapidly resolve control problems affecting output or quality and reducing customer service levels. To carry out effective actions to reduce incident reports related to instrumentation. To ensure compressed air and other process filtration systems are fully documented and compliant with cGMP.

Education / Professional Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in electronics / controls fields of study

5 years experience in Controls and Instrumentation

Working knowledge of calibration Systems.

Problem Solving Skills

Experience of Siemens S7 and Omron would be a big advantage.
