Operations Manager

Location: County Waterford [Waterford]

Salary: €90000 - €105000 Per Annum

Our Client a leader global, broadbased healthcare company devoted to the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceuticals and medical products



Job Description:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with operations experience (8+ years) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience in a regulated environment or medical device required. Electronics background an advantage

Strong Leadership experience in a Technology environment required

Results driven Leader with appetite for change and aggressive continuous improvement

A results driven individual who can operate in a dynamic organization



Roles / Responsibilities:

Provides direction and guidance to production personnel who are responsible for supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities

Creates immediate to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management regarding new product introduction, KD yield improvements, scrap reduction, analysis of field complaints, corrective action, MRB activity, capacity planning, layout, regulatory, etc

Develop and continuously improve planning and cost analysis management systems for manufacturing operations

May Identify and drive implementation of continuous improvement initiatives such as Six-Sigma and Lean across business units

Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s)

Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives



Skills / Experience:

Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives

Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action

Provides direction and guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments

May supervise non-exempt employees

Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
