Job Description:
The technical writer/instructional designer will be responsible for developing engaging and interactive web-based educational material for clinical research professionals.
The role would be suited to a science graduate looking to develop writing experience in the clinical research industry and who has the ability to interpret complex material and translate it into a clear and concise format for training purposes.
The Role
- Work with clinical trial advisors to define course content for a global audience of site staff involved in clinical research
- Liaise with graphic designers to develop storyboards and provide advice on the subject matter, content layout, and conceptual graphics
- Write content in accordance with standard writing guidelines within project timelines while still maintaining editorial consistency and technical accuracy at all times
- Act as the point of contact on projects and be comfortable with a high degree of responsibility in relation to project management and delivery
- Build relationships with key content contributors (clinical trial advisors, project management, and clinical teams)
- Contribute to product enhancements and new product development
Requirements
- At least a primary degree in a science-related discipline and/or technical writing/instructional design
- Exceptional writing skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects simultaneously within agreed timelines
